Phantom Black, Technology Package, Carbon Fiber, Music System & Heated Seats ________________________________________________________________________________ HISTORY The Audi S6 is a performance luxury car that is designed to compete with some serious German sedans including the highly respected BMW M5 and the Mercedes Benz E63 AMG. Some may be very surprised by the road test comparison result of a February 2007 test by Car & Driver where the Audi S6 finished a close 2nd to the Mercedes 6.3 AMG with the BMW M5 in 3rd position. As some of the log book comments include: "I'm astounded at what a cool operator the S6 is on the track." Many may be surprised to know that the S6 is equipped with 5.2-liter V10 FSI engine sourced from the Lamborghini Gallardo. The 435 hp S6 accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds. Torque is rated at 397 ft. lbs., with ninety percent of it available from 2300 rpm. The V10 FSI engine is mated to a six-speed Tiptronic® transmission and Quattro® all-wheel drive. The S6 has been maintained with all service and warranty maintenance done in accordance with Audi's recommendations. The S6 has no accident damage and a totally clean Car Fax report. Finally, the car has desirable options (including the "Technology Package") and is finished in what I believe to be the most striking color combination of Phantom black & silver. The original meticulous owner picked up his new Audi S6 at Niello Audi, Sacramento, CA, in April, 2007 and he owned the car since it was sold to me, another meticulous owner, in October, 2015 with 69k miles. Carfax shows 3 owners but both CA owners were actually the same owner. The S6 has remained in Florida even though it is licensed and registered in the state of NY. (NY auto insurance is half of what it is in Florida) To my knowledge, the car has never seen snow. The S6 has been fanatically maintained by the local Audi dealers who have performed virtually all the work/repairs. Both owners exceeded the recommended Audi maintenance and utilized only factory OEM components and factory recommended highest quality Michelin Pilot Sport S4 or Continental high performance tires. There is no issues at this time with zero faults indicated. A detailed summary of maintenance work is listed below. As expected, the Audi S6 comes with literally every maintenance receipt and warranty repair invoice since day one. Of course, as a high caliber car, all of the S6's original paperwork (including the window sticker to show options, original pricing, etc.) and all of the documents that would have been received at the time of delivery are also included. Specifically, these items include: - Original factory window sticker (Just shy of $80K) - Original electronic key (one only, one misplaced) - Audi Owner's manual - Audi Maintenance Booklet (Containing service stamps) - Audi Infotainment / MMI booklet - Audi Quick Reference Guide / Infotainment & MMI - Audi 24 hour Roadside Assistance Guide - USA Warranty Information - Leather case to hold documents OPTIONS / UPGRADES In addition to the extensive list of standard features on the Audi S6, this example is fitted with upgrades / options that will appeal to a true Audi enthusiast. They were chosen to enhance the overall driving experience of this unique Audi. ($750) COSMETIC CONDITIONI must admit that describing this Audi S6 is straightforward. While the phrase "Like New" is often times misused, it applies in this case. Every part of the car, both inside and out rates extremely high and reflects the high level of "cost is no object" care that this car has received. The car's color combination make it one of my favorites and the combination of "Pearl" black and silver/black leather interior is simply striking. The addition of the aggressive stock Audi 19" wheels and exterior "V10" badges make it clear that this car is very special and begs to be driven and enjoyed.The Audi's exterior condition doesn't reflect its mileage of just over 89,991 miles. It is much better than expected. The body is very straight, has never been involved in an accident and has a completely clean Car Fax report.As a result of the minimal use and little / no exposure to the elements, the S6 has superb paint that is free from all but minor imperfections that can be seen only upon very close inspection. Of course, the car has been garaged for its entire life and received regular professional detailing to ensure that he Audi looked its best at all times for its proud owners. It's a suburban mostly highway driven car so there is none of the "big city" parking damage or signs of previous or current damage. The wheels are factory 19" Sport wheels and are in good condition, free of any major damage. Tires are brand new Michelin Pilot Sport S4.The S6 has been driven by professional, mature owners / drivers so the interior is equally as nice as the exterior showing no signs of wear and tear and has seen passengers only a handful of times. The interior is exceptional from the seats to the door panels, trim, dash and all other parts of the inside cabin. The interior is fitted with the desirable "Technology Package" that includes Navigation, Voice Recognition, the Advanced Parking System ("beepers" and camera), Sirius Satellite radio and Advanced Key. As the old adage goes. "A photograph is worth 1,000 words" applies when it comes to the photos of the interior. The front and rear Recaro seats are in fantastic condition as is the remainder of the Audi's interior and trim. MECHANICAL CONDITION The new owner of the S6 will receive the complete documentation of service / maintenance records. Both of the car’s very particular owners exceeded the Audi recommended service schedule and addressed any minor issues as they developed. The car has only 89,710 Florida/CA mostly highway miles. The following represents chronological highlights of some of the repairs: -89,919 Miles - Complete 85,000 mile service per Audi (By Audi dealer) Brake fluid exchange. Checked for any fault codes. Every S6 will have this problem at some point between 90K – 150K miles with the original intake manifold sold with the car. The “corrected” Audi replacement manifold does not have this problem and this car had the “corrected” one installed most recently at 89.7k miles before any problems surfaced. A walnut blast carbon clean-up was also preformed rendering the car running like new with full power. The manifold repair was costly at $4000 but will have the car running strong past 150k miles before another $1k carbon clean would be recommended. Revving the engine past 5000 rpm regularly with each trip helps to clean out any carbon buildup and is true for all BMW and Audi FSI engines. As stated by a reviewer the V10 engine is bulletproof minus the intake issue and carbon cleaning which both have been resolved in this vehicle.
